a thesis exhibition at Ploysaeng 6 Festival by TCDC : 2010

An exhibition for chosen design undergraduate final projects. My architecture thesis, a public library located in an urban park, was among the list. So, I had to set up a booth for it.

The concept came from the desire to make my booth stand out from the rest of other renders-and-text architecture booths, by not presenting everything at a glance and having some sort of interactions with the viewers.

Because the feelings you get from using this library is soothing and chilling, I decided to go minimal. Started by hanging a printed vinyl wallpaper with the library's full name over a desaturated photograph of the park as a link to its location and the overall mood.

Then came the centerpiece of this installation, the 'falling books'. This is how my booth and its viewers could interact with each other. I hung these books with plastic cords that were nearly invicible. The viewers could catch books that contain the project's information to read. It was a fun experience that gave this booth a unique point.

At the bottom of the booth, I put a site model laid on artificial grass mat for some nature.
